Beat the Heat is back! ☀️
Join us on Saturday, August 1 at the Upper Lake Mary boat launch and picnic area for one of our favorite days of the summer. The fun starts at 10:00 a.m., BBQ will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and we’ll be hanging out at the lake until 3:00 p.m. Come for lunch or spend the whole day with us!
Bring your family, friends, camping chairs, kayaks, paddleboards, yard games, or just yourselves. We will have live music by local band The Pocket Limes, so come enjoy the day with adaptive athletes, families, volunteers, and community members from across Arizona. Whether you’re meeting HCAS for the first time or reconnecting with familiar faces, we’d love to see you there!
A huge thank you to Care 4 the Caregivers for sponsoring this year’s community BBQ and helping make this day possible. We’re also grateful to Arizona Disabled Sports for bringing additional kayaks so even more people can enjoy a day on the water.
